A good service is like having a special weapon for the kill in Table Tennis. I have won inter-school competitions (Gold Medals) for Table Tennis when I was young, so it is not that I don't know how to play, but there is always room for improvement, so I got my hands on the Table Tennis Master DVD set and chose to watch the Service Mastry first.
I was able to learn so much from the demonstration. I was able to learn 8 new types of serivces, and most of them gave me the ability to keep the game in my control, in real game playing. This is very important, because there are times when your opponent may have stronger skills than you, and that is where you kick in the service mastery strategies to create confusion, and force opponent to either make a mistake, or to give you a return of your choice, so you could go for the kill.
I liked the way each service was shown in a slow replay, and explained. Specially the stance, angle of legs, shoulder, wrist, racket and follow up stances that puts life into the service and lets you literally dictate the game to the opponent. The quality of the demonstrations is as good as learning from a very good coach, just that it's not possible to rewind the coach all the time to make sure you pay attention to the minutest details.
If you are serious about improving your table tennis game, I can't see why you won't get your hands on these DVDs.
